Fiber Optic Pigtail

A fiber pigtail is a solitary, short, typically close supported, optical fiber that has an optical connector pre-introduced toward one side and a length of uncovered fiber at the opposite end.

The finish of the pigtail is stripped and combination joined to a solitary fiber of a multi-fiber trunk. Grafting of braids to every fiber in the storage compartment “breaks out” the multi-fiber link into its part filaments for association with the end gear.

Pigtails can have female or male connectors.
